In reply to Kasem.

The recommended dosage of water for an average person is 8 8-ounce glasses a day. Or 64 ounces. Or half a gallon. For somebody who does some form of exercise daily you want to be defiantly drinking more than half a gallon. I managed to find a gallon water bottle at Big Lots for $1 and i try to empty it once a day. It really helps. Good luck.

Probably not if you're weighing in at 187. I'm no doctor, so I can't help you with the constipation thing, but I'd imagine drinking more water is only going to help. The general rule of thumb is a gallon a day, more or less depending on your size, activity levels, environment, humidity, etc. I'd say a half gallon for a guy your size who's running is a bit too little.

I am not a body builder, but i like to lift every day more in a cardio sense. I run every day as well. I have noticed over the past 7 months that i have severe constipation and a lack of digestion. If im lucky, i can get in about a half a gallon of water a day. Is this enough?
i weigh 187 and im 27 yrs old. I dont really know what to do...any advice from someone experienced? Thank you.

I have to admit I have been slacking on the water for a while. I average about a half gallon a day, sometimes a little less. But after reading this I'm definitely back to my gallon-a-day! The conclusion to the article can't be ignored!
