		<description>Bridging on the flat bench is a terrible idea. I speak from experience as I used to do this and it puts a lot of stress on the lower spine. As the weight increases, it increases the stress on the lower spine - so much so that it has caused the bursa between my lower vertebra to be compressed which has led to back problems and is more than likely the cause of my spinal disease disorder.

Now I keep my back flat on the flat bench and as well on the decline bench.

I&#039;ve been able to fight back at my spinal disease disorder by bending my back to try to stretch the space between my lower vertebra and it has been a big help (I&#039;m able to touch the palm of my hands completely flat on the ground while keeping my legs straight).

Bridging is a terrible idea on the flat bench and in my opinion, is just bad form.</description>
