I know, I know.  You’re sick of getting emails from me.  But I promise this is worth it.

I haven’t edited this yet, but it’s just some basic ideas of how you can do a  lower body strength workout in your hotel room.

When you are pressed for time, and have no access to a decent gym (like I mentioned earlier today), you can’t just give up and skip your workouts!  Shifting a day or so is fine, but skipping a planned workout?  No way!

So check out these two unedited videos.  By unedited, I mean that there are errors/quirks.  But still worth the 10 minutes to watch them.  Let me know what you think, and if this series is useful, please forward them to friends.

  1. Timely post since I am also in Asia on Business travel. The Fridge seems like a good idea but only on vacation. I always expense my Business travel meals and some of the restaurants have healthy choices.

The Front squat seems like a good idea..haha. Need to try it out. BTW you could also a 1 leg Romanian Deadlift using any object in the room as a Dumbell.

  2. Hello,
I am enjoying your articles and blog tips thoroughly.
The 6×6x6 is an amazingly intensive workout and after 3 weeks I will inventory the gains I’m sure exist.
I currently doing over-head lifts, squats, leg extentions, pull-ups, flat dumbell flyes and bench presses.
I do them as a massive super set obeying the 6×6x6 tenet with a 2 minutes rest in between.
    Is this okay?

  3. This looks like things that I can use to make my stay at a hotel more productive!!

Videos demonstrating the exercises are very helpful.

    Thanks!

  4. @John – I’ve never been to Asia but would love to go… In terms of the fridge, it’s not just the cost-savings (and as an employer of many people who travel, I can tell you that the more you save $ on trips, the more your boss will be impressed, even with small dollar amounts). But the fridge is also key for the “eat every three hours” rule. Especially if you haven’t adjusted to the time zone, you might in your room and need to eat when no restaurant is open.

@Akpo – this is a bit off topic but if you are doing a massive superset, then you are not doing the 6×6x6 Routine. While some exceptions are inevitable while traveling, the 6×6x6 Routine needs to be followed exactly to be most effective. Change it, and you’ll reduce the effectiveness. Maybe I’ll start an on-line forum for the 6×6x6 Routine…

@Gene – thanks – I know I can count on you for comments!
