I'm posting this late, as this is about a run last week, but it was poring rain.  I was scheduled to do a run, so I did a run.  I didn't ask questions or make excuses.  But… with so much rain, I couldn't listen to my ipod.  (see http://worldfitnessnetwork.com…..ing-types/ for some earlier thoughts on this)

Anyway, it ended up being a great run.  I did Fartlek intervals because I knew my sneakers would be too wet to do HIIT afterward.  Running in the rain is really kinda fun.  It's been a while since I've done it, because the weather has been so good here.

Anybody else run (or bike, or row, or other) in the rain?

I like driving in the rain??? Does that count?  I like the sound on my windshield.

Yeah; I run in the rain, as long as it's not cold rain–you know–like rain in the winter time, and if it's not storming.

I run first thing in the morning, right after drinking a glass of water, a cup or two of coffee, some biological necessities, and dynamic stretching.  I'm usually out the door by 5:30 am, so it's not a very popular time for a rain shower, especially in the summer, but it happened on my last run.

Sure, it's fun.  I didn't get hot, and I wear pretty snug clothes, so I didn't get weighted down.

yeah, you definitely don't want to wear a loose, cotton t-shirt for long runs in the rain.  too much chaffing (not sure if that's the right spelling…).  compression shirts work great in the rain.
