Please pardon me if this topic has been covered, but I couldn't get anywhere trying a search.

Cameron, Darrin, or anyone else.  What do you recommend or use with regards to vitamins, minerals, and supplements?  How do you cycle them? If you cycle them.

I'm not a big fan of supplements.  I've spent lots of money, in the past on supplements, and I could have just flushed the money down the toilet and saved time and liver/kidney effort.

Right now, I'm just using what I've got:  Fish oil, probiotic, multi vitamin, protein powder (used only around workout time and in a pinch), low-dose aspirin, and glutimine (just because I have some left over from a previous attempt to use recommended supplements to help with hypertrophy.  As you can see, most of what I take is for general health and not related to building muscle.

From reading other posts, I know I need a better vitamin, but I'll wait till I run out of my cheapos.

Check out today's article: http://worldfitnessnetwork.com…..upplement/

In terms of cycling, I defintely cycle creatine – about  10 weeks on, then 3-4 weeks off.

Vitamins, fish oils – I don't cycle.

I guess a rule of thumb:  nutritional supplements, don't cycle unless your diet changes dramatically; performance supplements, do cycle somewhat.

Depending on your dose you really don't need to cycle creatine.  You don't actually become "immune" to it.  That's a myth I've looked into somewhat.  Apparently that the word the "people" use, not the experts.  Not a single one I've talked to has ever heard of someone becoming immune.  The term "immune" is a little overstated.  All it really means is that your creatine stores in your  body are maxed. and taking more in is pointless.  You would probably save money if you didn't cycle off, just lowered your dosing down a tad and kept doing it.  Especially with all the health benefits listed in "the creatine report" (link is in the article)

Personally,

Vitamins, creatine, N.O. products pre-workout, valerian & hops (for sleep), and sometimes caffeine for sleep (stimulants have a reverse effect on people with ADD, rydalyn is a stimulant) I also use a product called "Rhodiola 110" for recovery.  Seriously the stuff is like a healthy "crack" on steriods.  Stuff is super strong.  Occassionally helps with the long drives too, lol.  Rhodiola Roseam, the herb it's derived from, is an arctic herb.  It's like a magic plant.  Some info is in my supp. link if any1 wants it….
