A few weeks from now Ramadan will start. It's the ninth month in the Islamic calendar where Muslims have to fast. I have to refrain from eating and drinking from dawn to sunset. Its aim is to focus more on worship (praying, charity, etc.) and teach us self-control. I normally eat 5-7 meals per day, but this wouldn't be possible.

  • Do you think it's feasible to work out during this period? If yes, would that be after breaking fast or while actually fasting?
  • Do you recommend anything to do in order to maintain what I had achieved?

Any advice would be appreciated Smile.

You absolutely can keep lifting.  In fact, you'll be surprised that intermittent fasting, as done during Ramadan, can actually have some short term GAINS in lifting.  I'll put together an article on this, including lots of scientific references, in the next couple of days!

Wonderful! Yes, I am surprised and pleased to hear that it's possible to make short-term gains.

I'm anxiously waiting for the article! Thank you very much Wink.
