it is said that u must rest your muscles atleast 48hrs be for you work them out again.. Is this 48hrs of break is i your taking protein or with ut it..??

But you hit on a great point:  most of the scientific studies that talk about recovery time do not factor in the effects of a carb/protein meal (could be a shake or a real meal) right after lifting.  That timing of getting protein to your muscles right after you lifted has been shown to start the growth and recovery process sooner.

anyone know of studies on this, or done any self-experimenting?
