Is there a difference in what you would eat/drink for optimal recovery after weight training versus after a run?

In my experience, not too much different but as always it depends on your goals.  In both cases, after the exercise you'd want mostly fast carbs with some protein.  Something like 60% carbs and 40% protein, maybe 70/30.  Little to no fats.  Quantity would be higher after lifting though.  And I'm assuming here we are talking about either a very long steady-state run or an intense interval type of run.  Short steady-state running doesn't really require too much specialty eating.  For me, I have trouble digesting real food after a long run so I look for something liquid.
